Seems we had a little "bashing" that we did not attend. This is a group that does not even know the words Robert's Rules

I said, "We were not there because we were not members of the committee. Those who are not members should not attend. It is advisable that officers are not appointed as members, to stimulate a more relaxed thus productive meeting." Correct?

Your question does not address several facts that must be known in order to give a rational answer.

A. Is the organization, to which this special committee meeting relates, a recipient of Federal or state funds?

B. Is the organization a publicly traded company with the interested parties being registered stockholders?

C. Are there other legal issues which would authorize persons other than committee members to be in attendance to monitor the proceedings?

If these answers are published I will be agreeable to respond to you vague and ambiguous question.
