I grew up with Brian in Lovington, New Mexico. He was a childhood friend. I haven't talked to him since 94, because I moved and didn't stay in touch. Knowing him makes me an instant fan of his, but I'm just curious how others who don't know him personally view his athletic abilities. Is he overrated, underrated or what?

No, he's definitely not over-rated. He's one of the best, if not the best, MLB of this generation. He is one of the fastest lb's I've ever seen, and he brings it on every play. He doesn't get the recognition that Ray Lewis gets, but that's because he doesn't pose down after every play and run around telling everyone how great he is like Lewis does. It's kind of nice in this era to see someone perform like he does, dominate on the field, and keep his mouth shut and not act like an a**hole every time there's a camera around. As good as the rest of the Bears defense is, they wouldnt even be in the top ten without Urlacher anchoring the linebacking corps.

Ask Mike Vick if Urlacher is overrated. The Falcons with Vick have been unable to topple the Bears and one of the key reasons is that Urlacher plays a big role in keeping Vick on lockdown. Like last season when he knocked vick into the middle of next week.
