You need more fiber. It shouldn't make you cry.

I think that it is because as you strain to release the #2 you create pressure in our head. That in turn creates pressure in the tear ducts which forces tears into your eyes. Your tear ducts are also connected to our noses (ever see someone squirt milk out of their eyes?) and like crying the nose gets runny.

You cry and get a runny nose? Maybe those aren't tears and it's just water from all the splashing you're making.

Constipation or irregularity, is a condition of the digestive system where a person (or animal) experiences hard feces that are difficult to eliminate; it may be extremely painful, and in severe cases (fecal impaction) lead to symptoms of bowel obstruction. Obstipation refers to severe constipation. Causes of constipation may be dietary, hormonal, a side effect of medications, and anatomical. Treatment is with a change in dietary habits, laxatives, fiber therapy, enemas, and rarely surgery.

I wondered that once myself. I think it may hurt a little as we usually tear up when something hurts...but that since we have been doing it our whole lives we cant tell that it hurts. We are conditioned to it. There may be another answer, but thats what I concluded.

I beleive that would be caused from all the straining. You need to get you some stool softeners and add fiber to your current diet.It also helps to avoid cheese.Anything food that has cheese in it can really plug you up and cause severe straining.
good luck
