The soles of his “ghost shoes” seemed to have pretty good “ghost traction”! Can anybody explain this?

I don't know, but I have always wondered that myslef. In all the ghost movies, they go through everything but the floor, it is really perplexing... good question

If I remember correctly, he could affect the material through an act of will. Since he was willing himself to move forward walking normally, he did it.

he was walking on the invisible ghost floor. that only ghosts can walk on, but is dangerously close to the actual floor that WE walk on..

sometimes we trip for no reason right?
