i think someone lied to u cuz i tried that before in a lake and my kite sunk to the bottom, so its best not to try it. since i answered yo question can i get yo e-mail to invite u on a website called tagged.com???plz

They do work underwater. Air and water are both dealt with in the same way in physics, fluid mechanics. The big difference is the resistance levels. If anything, you will have much more control over the kite underwater.

no, you haven't been lied to. kites do work underwater, but not all kites. you can't make a homemade kite and expect it to work underwater. it won't, it'll just break. The underwater kite itself is very hard and sturdy, and you don't use string to 'fly' it. there's something more sturdier, but i forgot what it is called. all i know is there's a certain kite to buy and it can't be used for normal kite flying and underwater kite flying. it is very expensive and very difficult to work. there's also kite surfing, kite skating, kite buggy, and kite skiing. for pictures you can go to http://www.doomwheels.com.

As long as there is a current, and some how you can be stationary, then yes Kites will work underwater.

They actually do work underwater. I did a science project on this topic and won 1st in the school. Its really cool.
