Ok first of all learn the terminology for what you are asking.
Why did you re-boot because of a virus? That wouldn't remove your audio drivers.
If you mean you re-formatted and installed your software then that's a different matter.
Do you have "onboard sound" or is it a PCi sound card?
If it is "on board" just find out the model number of your board and go to www.downloads.com and get the sound drivers.
If it is a Pci card then take the name and model number off the card it self and then go to downloads.com and get the driver.
Alternatively do you have the motherboard driver CD that came with it? If so run it and install all the drivers.

Did it come with any type of software??? i would say just reinstall it and floolw what your did teh first time. But most audio devices your just need to plug up to the computer unless special software is needed.

well you would need to know exactly what soundcard u have,
this can be done in a manor of ways, by checking your pcs invoice when u got it, opening the case and looking at the chipset.
getting a progam like sys softsandra. this will tell u the card name and model and then goto there website for drivers.
