Endometriosis can *only* be diagnosed through surgery, in which the disease can be visualized and/or confirmed via biopsy for the presence of endometrial glands and stroma. Medicaid does provide for gynecology services, so talk to some gyns on the Medicaid roster about the possibility of getting low or no cost surgical intervention, possibly even at a local teaching hospital. They can diagnose and treat Endo at the same time and help you feel better if Endo is the cause of your pain and symptoms. Good luck.

Some people react differently to the hormones in the pill. I am not sure of your situation as I can only answer based on what you have said so I cannot comment on endometriosis.

It sounds to me that you are experiencing the more severe affects of the pill hence the breakthrough bleeding and acne. You need to talk to your GP and see if he/she can conquer the problem. I think you should stop taking the pill and use a different form of contraception until then. Also see if your GP can refer you to a gynocologest. There are other brands of the pill that are still affective but have less chance of side affects like Tricyclen Lo and Allesse so see if that'd work for you. If you are taking a combo pill that contains both estrogen and progesterone it could be that you have a sensitivity to the level of estrogen present in those pills. You could consider taking a progesterone only pill which is also known as the "mini-pill."

These are just some ideas I hope this all works out for you.

I'm not going to get into details about this because i may confuse you further... lol

But when i started birth control i felt sick. But the lower back pain seems odd. It may be your kidneys, I would get it checked out. You don't need to see the family doctor about it if you feel uncomfortable. You can go to a clinic. But you really should go to the doctor about it.

Give yourself a couple of months to adjust to the bc pills. There can be spotting and break through bleeding.

It would be a good idea to call your doctor and let them know about the back pain and cramps. They can refer you to a gyn if needed.

Your family doctor can answer this question. We don't know your medical history so nobody here can diagnose you. Lower back pain could also be your kidneys. Please go see your family doctor, they know enough to help you. You do not have to go to a specialist.
