I work in a bar with 2 barmaids, i slept with one of them one night when i was drunk. Then 1 month later she told me she was pregnant through a text message, anyway we agreed an abortion but then 2 days later when she was due to go to the doctors she said that she had lost the baby cos she was bleeding a lot. Now everytime i try and talk to her about it she blanks me. Was she really pregnant or just lying?

Sounds a little fishy. Unfortunately, some women do lie about that kind of stuff to see what reaction the men will have. A month is not a long time to know if you are pregnant or not. I found out myself at two months.
Also, she wouldn't have been bleeding a lot after a month. And I have my doubts about her telling you over a text message. That is a little strange to me. I can't say for sure, but she doesn't sound like the most stable and honest person. I would cut off contact outside of work.
PS: Are they actually called barmaids? lol funny name

From my girlfriend's point of view "Personally knowing a girl, she could either be lying to get what she wanted or it was true. She could be hurt over the fact that she lost it and that you asked for an abortion. I personally don't believe in abortion I believe in life no matter if it's giving it up for adoption, or not. She could've lied or been turned away from what was said or done. Because all of it is a touchy situation, but to find out the truth I would say DNA test, or she could still be pregnant, bleeding may just mean something could be wrong.Or she just got her period and thought she was pregnant, you don't really know."

K personal story.....
Met a guy on the net, hooked up while drinking a couple of times and managed to get pregnant. At first, it was my intention to leave him completely out of it until I made up my mind. This girl that I knew actually contacted him and told him! I spoke with him about it and we both decided it would be best for us if I aborted but a couple of days later, I misscarried. I told him and he expected me to take him back to the hospital so he could confirm with the doc that I had miscarried. I was so mad at him that I stood him up the day we were going to go. I know in my heart what happened whether or not he thinks I lied. Not all women lie about serious things like that...we may just hadle it a little differently

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Either way you got out of a sticky situation. Since it was a co-worker not a girlfriend I would assume you would be relieved. Its possible that maybe she just wanted some attention by telling you that but give her the benefit of the doubt and learn a valuable lesson so this doesn't happen again. Don't sleep with people you aren't in a committed relationship with especially when you are drunk.

Just because she was bleeding a lot DOES NOT mean she lost the baby. Sounds this woman liked you a lot, and she realized all she was to you was a one night stand, so she decided to try and make you stay by saying she was pregnant, if i were you I would get FAR away before she does something else crazy

I unfortunately have pulled this one ( I was trying to make him commit) And when he said abortion I of coarse agreed and when time came I said I was so stressed over it that I had lost the child..Of coarse I had to have a follow up with the docs( I had an apt for something else) because you have to make sure all of the placenta gets out or else you can get sick or get gang green So I would say no she wasn't and is just trying to trap you because of jealousy issues... Sorry but you need to deal with this correctly or else she will fall deeper into this lie of hers and then really need help in other issues... Best thing to do is to Not have any other issues with her (specially sex) or else she will do it again.. talking to her will make her dependent upon you also..Try to get her fired or something so you don't have to deal with her ever work day... Good luck....

You will never know it could go either way. Either she miscarried and is upset about it or she said she was pregnant when not and tried to rope you in and when u made it clear that you wanted her to have a abortion she then said she mis carried. Its a rough one to call only she knows. I wouldn't dwell on it.

The only one who really knows is her. It could be she doesn't want to talk because she lied thinking she would get a certain result from you and then didn't get it or It could also be she doesn't want to talk because it was a bad experience in he life and she is trying to forget about it.

Not sure but I wouldn't date her again thats for sure...............What you should have done when she said she was pregnant is We can get a DNA Test done to determine if I am the father......Just because a woman says it is your baby doesn't make it so, unless you are married
