Purse is an accessory not a bag to carry things.

The whole point of a purse is to put items that you need while you are traveling. They can be very small (wristlets) and very large (duffles). They range in price, color and design so by definition a purse is both. But if your a keys and lip gloss girls tick to the small stuff...or try your pockets!

Accesory all the way; every where you look they are listed as accessories. Not as 'bags to carry thins'. Just buy a small one to start with; dont carry much in it at first!

Definitely can be both. I have small purses to accessorize, and I also have big mom purses so I can carry everything I need!
