Put vinegar on it. It stings like he** at first, but afterwards you'll feel much better. Worked for me.

Cold cream works wonders. Also aloe vera plants, too. You have to squeeze the goo from inside, but it helps in the healing. Cool baths with baking soda also helps take the sting out. Just don't use warm water or it will set the sunburn on fire!!

1- Take 2 advil/ other painkillers
2- Take a cool shower
3- Put on aloe cooling gel or lotion
4- Lay down in air conditioned house(hopefully)

When I am badly sunburned I wet and wring out 4 wash clothes, and put them in the fridge. I take out 2 about 5 minutes later and lay them on wherever hurts worst...usually my shoulders or back! Then when they get hot turn them over. Then when completely hot take them back to the fridge and get out the 2 cold ones. Keep rotating. (Sometimes they need to go in the freezer)

Good Luck!

Aloe Vera gel that has lidocaine in it is wonderful. Also, if it's possible, mist your sheets with water before you go to sleep. Take aspirin or ibuprofin, and oatmeal treatment baths (you can buy the solution at Walgreens) helps when the itching starts. Stay moisturized, and stay out of the sun!

Try a cool bath with vinegar (plain white) added. Try a cup or two added to a full bath. Avoid ANYTHING with any sort of alcohol in it, as far as things to put on it. And, yes, next time, wear sunscreen. I had a good friend of mine come down with skin cancer from getting burned one two many times.. It was not pretty..... Otherwise, sit under ceiling fans, use a mister to try and keep the skin cool. And wait....

put on lot's of aloe vera... and once in a while put thin cucumber slices on serious areas... the skin absorbs the cucumber juice quickly so slice a lot and keep replacing them... the cucumber slices have to be cold so put it in the refrigerator before you use them on your skin...
if you have aloe vera plant it's even better... just cut off a piece and rub the juices on the burned area, but the gel will work too... you just need to lather on a lot several times a day...
good luck...
