that would be soooo sweet! I would absolutely LOVE it if a guy brought me flowers on a first date, it would be so romantic and it would show me that he really cares what I think! :D

That would be a nice touch.
Let's just say it this way without sounding too crass.
Youngens, teenage years, won't get too impressed with that. They don't quite know exactly the meaning and implications of it.
However, professional adults see it in a different way. They see it as a subtle means of respect and admiration.
Bringing flowers is not old school as most professional adults see that as a good thing.
I suggest you take flowers. Just don't bring two dozen roses or anything. Something small and simple. Remember, it's the thought behind the flowers, not the size of the bouquet.

If it is within your personality, and you feel so inclined, then you should do what you think is best.
If it is not within your personality, and you are trying to play out a Rico Suave fake gesture of admiration, then you will eventually look like an idiot.
I would not expect a man to bring flowers on a first date, or any date for that matter. I do think that it is flattering.
I do think that the other suggestions for a single flower are old school classy in a more modern way.

yes he shld, but not those huge bunches, just a single flower can do for the first date, coz you dont know what will happen after that date.

flowers? no. just have fun. go out, talk, get to know each other, eat, laugh. flowers, roses, all that stuff is to show commitment or something u give ur mom.
