I know nothing about it. Would it be a good university to attend for a year as part of an exchange program for Biology?

I'd recommend you University of Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana for Biology.
Look at that one up before deciding.

I would say that it would depend on what type of biology you are looking to study. From an Agricultural standpoint, they have some fantastic resources. If you are referring to human biology, the have an excellent coopertaive program with Geissinger.

PSU at Penn State is an awesome school, it is also within miles to Juinata College, which is a highly respected private college located in Huntingdon, PA. (named of the Countess of Huntingdon). Sorry, I'm a little prejudiced. I was born and raised in the area. Juniata also has a wonderful exchange student program.

I don't know anything about their biology program, but it's a great university. I almost went there.
