I wasn't sure of which catergory to put this under...
I had a dream the other night that a man had a bomb strapped to his body and invaded our home (but everyone but me is acting fine when he walks around them!)... he is waiting for a friend... well, when his friend takes too long, he hands my dad the detenator and tells him "when I walk into the next room, push the button!" so dad does and it blows up... (dad still sits there watching tv and mom is cooking, like this happens everday!) then not 2 seconds later, his friend pulls up in the driveway, dad tells him about the other guy so the friend pulls into our garage (some how we end up outside...) jump into our car and now the car is chasing us with weapons... then i wake up before any pain is inflicted on my family...
i was just curious to see if anyone out there might now what this may mean...
thank you for your time...

Stop watching action movies before you go to sleep.

Sounds like a movie plot. Just hoped that you didn't dream it before you slept or your dream will be meaningless..

however, let me analyze the dream

man strapped with a bomb = danger, threat
waiting for a frend = support
dad pushed button as told = listen to order
being chased with weapons = threat, run away from responsibilites

Basically, you are insecure about lots of things. You are insecure about your home. You feel you are being invaded. You are insecure about your privacy. You do not trust your family. You projected that you dad listened and push the button and blowed up. You are trying to run away from responsibilities. Being chase by a car showed that you are running away from some responsibilies. You somehow want some support people. In dream, you project two men, a man with the bomb and friend of his.

Noticed that dreams are the pictures you project. They are all your thought, conscience. You could be any role in there. In this case, you need support from someone and you don't get it and many times you blame it to your family for not having you own way. This is how you projected those two bad guys subconsciously.

In conclusion, you may be living in a normal family. However, you may have issues like trust in the family, getting enough support from them.

Advise to you, you need to have better communication with your family. Talk more with your dad and mom.

I could be wrong, but this is how I see from your dream.

It could mean millions upon millions of things. It really depends on how you interpret it, but the first thing that comes to mind is that you think you see a danger that no one else sees, and you're afraid of how to get everyone to notice. Or you could have been watching too much TV. But, try this: see if some obscure points of the dream come up in your day ahead. I mean suicide bombing is far too common these days... but I bet you something will happen today, someone will say just some random thing, and you'll remember something else in the dream that had nothing to do with anything. I'm still working on why that happens, but VERY often I have a dream and forget about it until some obscure conversation happens and it seems almost like I predicted it. Hmmm...

You should probably stop eating chocolate just before bedtime.
Actually my husband and I were just talkiing about dreams. He says that a dream is the way the subconscious works out the stuff that has happened iin our conscious life. IT's not like some guy is going to walk into your house with a bomb, but maybe take a look at your relationships, work, etc. and see where you are feeling out of control or how ever you felt in the dream. They are usually indicators of what is happening in our life, kind of like a bizarre mirror.

Maybe you think your dad isn't working hard enough as a dad,or if you and your mom are close maybe thats the way she feels about him as a husband and you are picking up the way she feels.Since he is the one that pushes the button.

...DON'T BELIEVE TOO MUCH IN YOUR DREAMS SINCE IT'S ACTUALLY KIND OF LETTING YOUR MIND RUN LOOSE WITH NO REASONNING TO CONTROL IT (THAT'S THE REASON YOUR MIND IS RESTING WHEN YOU SLEEP)...IF YOU WATCHED A SCARY MOVIE THAT AFFECTED YOU THEN SLEPT YOU'D SEE YOUR MIND'S REPRESENTATION OF FEAR (DEPENDING HOW MUCH SCARED YOU ARE) IN A RANDOM WAY....
BUT SOME OTHER TIME (WHICH I'M DOUBTING IS YOUR CASE) YOU FEEL COMPLETELY NORMAL AND NOTHING'S ON YOUR MIND SO YOU SEE (USUALLY) MEANINGLESS DREAMS...
