Best player in baseball?!?!?!?! Are you serious? Maybe you should watch Big Papi crushing homers over the Green Monster and single handedly DESTROYING the Yankees bullpen. I never saw A-Rod do that...

Okay... finally I get to speak my mind about this subject... first of all: YES... I hope he will... he deserve it big time!! Second: if the Yankees get rid of him after the season... it will be a huge mistake, you can't fault someone for having ONE bad year. Third: I'm getting sick of some Yankee Fans booing him... GET OFF HIS BACK... tell you what... you make that much money, you go out there EVERY DAY and try and do what he does UNDER ALL THAT PRESSURE playing in New York ( I only say New York because some Yankee Fans aspect too much, I'm not one of them ) and try and do it... I BET YOU CAN'T!!
I've been a A-Rod Fan even before he came to New York, I followed him with Seattle and Texas... plus, I've been an A-Rod supporter with him in New York... Please all Yankee Fans that are booing him... STOP!! It's not like he's not trying... it's looks to me like he's busting his butt off... and trying to do too much to make some of you happy... for the last time it's CALL A SLUMP, every player has them... GET OFF A-ROD's BACK!!

The guy is a great ballplayer and he is just having a down season right now. One of the greatest third basemen's to ever play the game. The Yankee fan do not deserve him. All they ever think about is Derek Jeter. Shoot...they got Damon we'll snag A-rod.

No matter what Jeter will always be #1 to Yankee fans, just come to the stadium and look at the sea of Jeter Jerseys and shirts but A-Rod is still loved by Yankee fans if he is boo'ed or not

I would hate to choke as bad as he does, yet still hit well enough to win an MVP award.
Hell, I would hate to choke and have these stats:
Avg: .282
HR's: 20
RBI: 68
He may struggle from time to time and not come up big with men on base, but there are far more overrated players in the majors than Alex.

I think people in NY do not give him a fair shake. Just like the way NY fans gave Maris crap it is apparent that they only have room in their heart for one. In this case it is Derek Jeter.
ARod is one of the game's best players. If the Yankees had someone like Shea Hillenbrand at 3B they would quickly realize this.

I dont know why all the yankees fans like arod so much. HE SUCKS. How many errors can he possibly make at third base. Hes not even hitting well. I guess he got a bad case of steroids.

I don't believe in "choke" or "clutch", but Rodriguez has a career .393 OBP and .534 slugging percentage in the postseason. He is the best SS the Yankers have, but they moved him to a new position.

I think NY fans have conditional love for their teams and it's too bad. Maybe if you would stop booing him he would play better. Stand by your teams and your players. We loved him unconditionally while he was here in Seattle, but then again Seattle fans aren't nearly as harsh as New Yorkers.
