I think you are wrong. Creativity is important no matter what side of the brain your on. I studied social work and worked in psychiatry and drug addicction treatment. Now I develop webapplications and program. I'm a musician in my free time . I had to be creative in my work as a social worker and I have to be creative in my work as a webdeveloper now.
Creativity is the main drive behind almost verything worth doing and it can be found in art, science and just life in general. Giving up is about the least creative thing you can do.
As for the money.... it's actually true....it doesn't make you happy. Being satisfied because of what you do with your life does.

Right-brained/left-brained dichotomous thinking is largely a myth. Pseudoscience. It actually takes both sides of the brain to perform most functions and integrate knowledge.
Though there are various functions assigned to a region, the differences within a hemisphere are more significant than the difference between them. Most areas of the brain rely on other areas in order to function properly ... with the exception of speech, which independently operates in the L hemisphere.
BUT if you're asking if people who tend toward creative, nonlinear ways of thinking are considered inferior to those who tend toward methodical or scientific thinking in terms of being rewarded through this society's respect and monetary gain, answer is absolutely:
In the US you are respected and have a posh salary if you're, say, a medical doctor. But if you're say, a freelance visual artist, musician or photographer trying to do your own thing you will likely starve unless you become famous. And if you become famous you will likely be revered without being considered "smart", as the doctor might be. Sorry this is so long.

Everyone needs to be creative no matter what your doing. The president of the US has to try to be creative when he's answering questions from the media. Things that are mass-produced had to have a 'creative vision' before they even came to being so I really disagree with you about the creativity part. I also disagree with you on the different sides of the brain. Every human being uses their entire brain, just that some are more creative then others.

whether cetain people or traits are worthless depends on your values. Since no two people can ever agree on what the best toppings for a pizza are, let ALONE which group of people are superior to another, it's a question you'll never get a strong consensus on. It would be better to say "Right brained people are better at a certain task" or, if you want to be PC, "Being right brained helps you perform this task well".

I do not believe Right brain people "Creative" are useless in modern society. MANY right brainers are the driving force behind new building, arts, music, fashion, food trends,ETC... Would you really like a world without their creativeness? All things sterile, bland,,no color, no differences, non changing...I shudder to think of such a environment.

creativity seems to be more popular now, more than recent decades. with mass production people seem to be willing to spend more to have something different i.e. custom built homes
in the hippie age creativity was in itself mass produced, now with so much technology at our hand it is harder to find creative people to implement new ways of thinking. I design landscapes and stone patios. Im blue collar but I get to be creative all day in my job. In many ways I am happier with my life than many white collars types that I actually build these projects for. Try using your creativity in creative ways, might sound a little hookie, but it will make sense if you think about it.

I am right brained - creative and artistic. It's not USELESS in modern society to be creative - ROFL I don't know where you got that dude.
Look at every COMMERCIAL you see, every FILM you see, every BILLBOARD to every SIGN, listen to every SONG you hear, and listen and read all the POETRY that is famous, or BOOKS that are famous and tell me, again, that creativity is useless in modern society.
I am a graphic designer - and I can honestly say - creativity is the very backbone of today's society.

Left brain goes with right hand. Right brain goes with left hand. Left brain is more concerned with business and money, so if that is what you judge success by, then they are superior. I'm left-handed, and I prefer creativity to the ability to manipulate a whole country.
