Try placing newspaper over the wax and ironing the paper with the iron setting on the lowest setting. Be careful not to scorch the paper. The heat from the iron should melt the wax and it will be absorbed by the newspaper.

Put down some wax paper over the candle wax and iron over it. The wax should come off the carpet onto the wax paper. If the carpet is light there may still be a stain that you need to treat, but it will get the wax out.

You won't get all of it out... but this method does work. Get an iron very hot and get like a terry cloth material (towel) Place the towel over the wax area and then press the HOT iron over the area. You want to melt the wax with the iron and have the cloth absorb the melted wax.
