My mom says that the U.S. economy is headed towards a time of major inflation where the prices of things will become astronomically high. Even the smallest houses will be over one million dollars. She is pressuring me to be a nurse because she says that the only secure jobs will be in healthcare. I don't want to do that with my life. Is she right?

No, she isn't. Our economy is strong, and will continue to be. My question is, why would you even consider doing something you don't like?

I work in the Health care field and my company just came off it's best year in growth ever!!! The government is transferring the risk of Medicare patients to the private companies that is why they are cutting budget for health. The Doctors will no longer see patients is a bold statement, they will no longer see patients that are not enrolled in an insurance plan. This insurance plan is free to the medicare recipient because the Government pays the plan instead of paying the Dr., the Dr. in turn gets paid by the plan. This is the best way to do it. It also avoid fraudulent billing.

Hope that makes sense!

You're wrong. Healthcare is no longer secure. They are importing Doctors from India to work as nurses. As long as we have the same "Patriotic" boob in the White House, Americans will get the shaft.

Didn't you hear? The prez wants to cut Medicare payments by 37%. Doctors are now saying they won't see gov subsidized patients or military people anymore because of it.

Guess what that means - less work, less staff. Who's the first to go? Not the doctor.

The next secure job would be working in a jail. if everything goes sky high, crime will be outrageous, and the jails will be full.

There's very little chance of that ever happening. Our economy is strong.
