my period is 3 days late and i just did another test (first response) negative again, been trying to get prgnant but no luck, this month my bo and i had sex on my fertile day in a swimming pool, could i be pregnant, is it even possible, why is my test negative??? thanks gals.....

first responce reads 100 units of hormone, get answer early reasult which reads as low as 25 units (thats the same as the doctors blood test)
retest and see for sure

It is possible. Your test may be showing up negative if the hormone levels in your blood are not high enough... which is quite possible. Of course, having sex in a pool can lower the chances of pregnancy because the water washes away some of the sperm.
Wait another week and take the home pregnancy test again.

I believe it is very possible, I have yet to see information that says you can't get pregnant in a pool.
Remember don't stress yourself out this can also delay you getting pregnant to much stress can delay your period. I think if you have not started your cycle in a few days go to the doctor explain your late period or you could try another over the counter test.
All women are different sometimes it can take months,years to get pregnant. My best friend recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl after 2 miscarriage and three still births! So stay calm and have fun making your baby

I know its tough but you need to wait a little longer. Try a few more days. I got 3 negetives before my positive and even then it was a VERY faint positive. Now I'm not sure about sex in a pool becasue I have only had sex in a lake and I didnt get pregnant. You may also be infertile. Keep trying. At least you aren't like me and be extremely fertile. Call a good OB in your area. Talk to them and don't leave til you get all your questions answered ok?

first thing first, pregnancy tests can't always tell you if you are pregnant that soon after the first missed day of your period. Different tests have different sensitivities to the HCG in your urine.
It is possible that you could be pregnant, you will need to wait a week or two and test again. If negative again then you are likely not pregnant.

Well, it has only been three days. But, it could be a number of things. When I was pregnant with my third baby, I had taken 6 preg. tests, and they ALL came out negative. I finally had to go take a blood test and finally it came up positive. I would wait another week or two, then take another preg. test. If it still comes out negative, go to a local clinic or your family doctor to take a blood test.

Well, it is possible. A friend of mine didn't get a positive test result until she was two months pregnant, well, until she missed her second period. I, on the other hand, with my first got a positive two days after my expected period and with my current pregnancy I got a positive 8 days before my expected period. Good luck.

you could be pregnant, but the home tests are pretty accurate. If you want to know for sure, schedule an appointment with your Ob/Gyn. If you are trying to get pregnant, make sure you are taking a pre-natal vitamin every day. (your doc can write you a prescription for one) It's important for you to have a good level of folic acid when you do conceive. Swimming pools and hot tubs aren't very good for your internal chemistry - it might be better to try on dry land :)

Your pregnancy test will show negative as long as the HCG in your urine is not strong enough. But also a period may be late, there are a lot of factors. Have you been under stress this causes periods to be late.

Home-pregnancy tests are not the most accurate. For better piece of mind, go to your doctor and get a blood test.
P.S. You should never have sex in a swimming pool. The chemicals are extremely bad for your vagina.

I did 3 tests before it was pos. to really make sure take a blood test or Wait 2-3 wks and do the test again. good luck!
