first of all both countries are bordered by large bodies of water, it just makes sense that most of the people can swim. Its probably tourists who drown...anyway I think most of them can swim and dive. and even if they do dive, give the teams credit for also being good at soccer (note: the French also dive, so unless you support Germany these teams beat yours!)
