I'm surprised that they haven't blamed Jimmy Carter for the high gas prices.

You're talking to morons if their stance is that it's Clinton's fault. Clinton was a goober, but his time is gone. This is similiar to far left nutjobs running against Bush for the next election. His time will be over. Move on.
Your point is taken, but it's not quite as simple as you make it out to be. Although the Republicans are the majority, the Democrats have done a fair share of blocking and preventing. I'm not saying that's wrong, I'm just saying it's incorrect to say the Republicans could've done whatever they want over the last six or so years. But, yes, the Republicans have to accept the lion's share of the credit or blame (however you look at it).
I think you're sadly mistaken about Democrats taking back Congress. They still don't have their act together sufficiently to have earned the trust of the American people as a whole. The average American fears where democrats stand with regard to both the war on terror and the economy - they fear high taxes and that the war may move back to American soil. By average American, I mean middle America, the swing voters, whatever you want to call them. Staunch Republicans and Democrats, of course, will always vote with their party no matter what.

1) Just because one party controls the congress and the White House doesn't mean the entire party will always agree - case and point - illegal immigration.
2) The Republicans only have a slight majority and there are many things the Democrats can do to kill a bill.
3) Everything that Clinton messed up cannot be fixed in a few years.
4) They do not blame Clinton for every problem, in fact, I've never heard a Republican Congressman blame Clinton for the issues facing us today.

Perhaps you are listening to the wrong Conservatives. I rarely hear Bill Clinton's name anymore, thankfully. In fact, I never hear any level headed Conservative blame anyone for that matter. All of the Conservatives that I look up to just work to fix the problem, blaming will never get anyone anywhere. I would say the blame game award goes to the Bush bashing crowd.
There is also no way you could possibly know who will control the Congress, Senate, and etc. in 2008.

particularly biased rant. The left has been unwilling to compromise or contain the right in something, actually locking the republicans out. i do not see that because the right failing to compromise. Pelosi said it perfect at the same time as she said that they had administration and would write the expenditures. That became their approach and also you are able to hardly blame the right for paying for indignant. That has plenty to do with why the left has lost administration of the homestead and nevertheless would lose administration of the senate. it fairly is uncertain nevertheless.

Don't forget about the Supreme Court. They have everything and they wont blame it on themselves. It is hard for anyone to put the blame on themselves it just the way we are. No body wants to look bad so they will blame the other party. You cant avoid it, Dems would do the same if they had all the Majorities. Absolute power always brings with it absolute corruption.

Good point!
Republicans have more or less been in the majority since Richard Nixon won the race against George McGovern in 1972! What promises have they kept, again?

Republicans have always been a bunch of finger pointers. They never take responsibility for their failed policies. Bush is the worst culprit of them all! His favorite tactic is distraction but, finally, Americans are paying attention and his poll numbers are in the tank.

Well ofcourse... Osama and Saddam!! They have outsourced. and found partners elsewhere. All your problems are being externalized. This is how the right behaves everywhere.
