I hate wearing black unless they are dress pants. What colors are good too? I wear earth tone make up so, should I wear earth tone shirts???Just for the record.... I am not like most big girls that try to fit in smaller clothes that there rolls come over and pop out everywhere.

I'm glad you are looking for clothes that flatter you...I think everyone can find something flattering but very, very few people should have things popping out! I see quite a few skinny girls with low rise jeans so tight they give themselves "muffin top" when they aren't heavy at all.

Anyway, I digress. As far as colors go, wear what you like and what is flattering. Pick earth tones that look good on you...some people just look dull in them but they may set off the color of your hair. A top that matches your eyes is always good for anyone. And don't be afraid of bright colors!

Try to pick things that are cut to skim over your body or accentuate areas you like. Don't wear tank tops if you feel that you're pear shaped, tops with sleeves or boat necklines are better for balancing out your figure. If you feel self-conscious about your size, get a collection of unique earrings and necklaces.

I think a lot of bigger girls feel like they need to blend in the background, but don't be afraid to wear unique, colorful clothes and accessories. I guarantee when people are looking at your pretty skirt or your sparkly earrings, they are not thinking about your size!

The colors depend on your skin tone. You should go to TORRID.COM to see some of their clothing. It's all plus sizes and I consider it to be like a younger, more hip version of Lane Bryant. I shop there all the time. I'm plus sized too and it's hard to find clothes that work for you body that you actually like. I'm not a tomboy, but I'm not a "girly girl" either. I'm trying to be a little more feminine in my dress as well. I just try on stuff I normally wouldnt wear just to see how it looks and thats how I find stuff I wouldnt wear otherwise. GOOD LUCK

Been there, I fully understand where you are coming from.

You can where anything really that fits right. Wide leg pants with a nice tunic is nice and comfortable. I also found nice linen and cotton dresses that fall straight, hug the right curves to give the right look are so pretty.

You don't have to stick with dark colors, used muted tones in a vertical stripe or a V design to draw attention away from your width and to your heart, which where it all counts, right.

First off figure out what shape your body is.ie pear, etc.
Buy clothes that complement your figure.I think that v-neck and scoop neck shirts look the best. Also try wrap dresses and shirts .If you like to wear jeans make sure they sit one inch below your bellybutton.Pants need to have a wide leg.It also depends on what area you need to fit.If it's your hips that are larger than fit them and then go to tailor and have them fit the waist etc.
Hope that helps.

No big florals of course. where something that give you a waist line and complements your skin. Watch what not to wear. They get a lot of people on there that are heavier set... and they really help them bring out there good points. I complement you for not trying to get in a size zero and having enough self esteem to ask this question. Women should look up to you.

Wear fitted clothes that are not too clingy. Baggy clothes look terrible! Accessorize and dress up your outfits with great earrings and nice pair of shoes.

just carry yourself professionally. Your look can should reflect that. Your style should reflect you personal feelings of self worth. Dress to impress... because perception is reality. Wear colors that reflect your personality for the day. If you are in a good mood, go bright.

Rarest of all eagles, the fantastic Philadelphia Choking Eagle drove many communities to the sting of extinction, preyed on the Broncos, Cardinals, and Falcons, and hunted by using the female Cowgirls from Dallas, rather smallish Giants from lengthy island , and the stupid Redskins, who no man or woman cares about, from Washington.

You could try Torid in malls but i'm not sure if they're everywhere. You shouldn't worry about what colors you look good in just what colors you feel good in and once you feel good, you'll look good. Don't stress about it just have fun.
