Dear Grammar Nazi,
Although I would prefer that you would use a better adjective for the 2nd word, I do appreciate what you are trying to accomplish. Poor grammar and spelling reminds me of a fascinating conversation while a mosquito is buzzing around your head. No matter how interesting the conversation is, you cannot concentrate on the discussion because of that annoying mosquito.
I salute your ambition and will endeavor to be careful about my posts. However, we cannot control the others and sometimes it's just not worth the effort. Also, by pushing we can often set back a valiant cause based on the way we push for our reforms. So use caution on your campaign. Because you want to win the war, not just the battle.

grammar is important, but i think that vocabulary and expression are more important. true, you have to know spelling, sentence construction, capitalization [nervous chuckle] and so on to express yourself so that other people will listen, but in contexts such as, let's see, casual e-mail or a questions and answers site, some rules can be waived for the sake of time. but that does not excuse 'IM language'--ur, bcnu, ^, im, and so on. it's degrading to the english language, which is complicated enough as it is.
i share your general frustration and chagrin, however, especially when it's difficult to even comprehend the question being asked.
i think that the american public school system is partly to blame. i was homeschooled in elementary school, and as a result, i have a better-than-average vocabulary repertoire and pretty good grammar skills. but so many people don't understand the 'its' rule, or 'i before e except after c or when sounding like a as in neighbor and weigh' rule. i even met some 10th graders who didn't know what the word 'morbid' meant. it's so frustrating, because how are people ever going to believe you if you can't even communicate your thoughts in a comprehensible manner?

Hail Herr Fuhrer
Point noted, but in some countries the bandwidth is still quite expensive, so the errors maybe due to the urgency to logout before the hour is up.
PS: Don't send me to the gas chamber for this, puhlease.

i'm sorri. we ain't all as sMart as u is...
I was an English major in college, and I will write however I see fit; one of the benefits of knowing the rules is being able to break them. Perhaps you should devote your life to another cause, my dear...your struggles could be more rewarding. And 'how come' is hardly proper grammar...
