if you can prove it's medically necessary to have your breasts reduced (back problems, breathing problems, etc), your doctor will be able to assist you in doing this. you have to go about it through your doctor to prove that it's medically necessary and it will be a long process but worth it in the end.

You need to call surgeons in your area and go for a consultation. The surgeon submits all of the paper work to your insurance company. I was approved in about a month, but it sometimes takes longer. They consider your height, weight, age, any pain you're having, etc. 300CCs from each breast is required to qualify. I hope you do! It's a wonderful surgery! Good luck!

The insurance will only pay for it if there is a "medical need" a "health issue" need. So you need to go to a regular doctor first, who has to state that you Need one, suggest it, advise it, because of back problems or other health issues that you may have....
You insurance will NOT pay for it JUST Because you want one.

Breast Reduction Surgery(all types of cosmetic surgery) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your lobesity surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .
My cousin got her breast surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her .hope this helps

What the other ladies wrote is true. Usually a doctor will determine if you have a medical need for breast reduction. Do you have back pain? Are your bra straps cutting into your shoulders?

first you would have to get a Dr. to state that your breasts were causing a physical ailment, then you would contact your health insurance. Not sure about from there, but first it has to be declared a medical problem by a Dr.

if your large breast are causing you back problems (your back ache, you are having trouble with your posture etc) then your insurance company should pay for it.

It depends, is it for vanity, or health reasons?
