Interconference wins between AFC and NFC for the past 5 years: The AFC's record is 34-30, 35-13, 27-21, 24-23-1, and 21-20 against the NFC. Of the last 9 Super Bowls, the AFC has won 7 of them (only Tampa Bay and St. Louis won for the NFC in this time): Pit, NE (3 times), Bal, and Den (2 times) have the rest.
How do you figure the NFC is dominant? We won't know about this year until the season's over.

Would disagree that the NFC is dominate. The AFC has far and away many more good teams, however, talking straight NFC Carolina and Seattle would have to be the top 2 going into the season with probably 3 or 4 others far behind.

Based on the last several years, the trend says that Seattle will fall apart this year. I think it's between Carolina and Chicago. As long as Carolina gets their running game on track, and Delhomme doesn't try to force too many balls to Smith, they're going to be tough.
A lot of people are overlooking Chicago, but they've got a hell of a team put together. This isn't like the team that won the division in 01 and then collapsed. They've got the best defense in the NFL, they returned all 22 starters, and they spent their entire draft on more defensive players. They also picked up Ricky Manning to help fill in the secondary. They've got Grossman back and healthy (at least for the time being), and now they've got Griese if Grossman goes down. I'm not a big Griese fan, but he's more than good enough to give the Bears a legitmate passing game which they haven't had for years. As long as a blow-up doesn't happen with the Jones/Benson situation, the Bears could be dominant this year.

I'll tell you what right now in the NFC it's going to be a team from the NFC east that goes to the superbowl....they have four dominent teams....and with the Cowboys and Giants being ranked 1 & 2 in that division don't be suprised if both teams are in the playoffs....

Don't count out the Seahawks in the less-than-inspiring NFC. You could also say the Bears, but both those teams stayed injury-free. The same may not be true this year. A darkhorse in the NFC could be the Giants, but Eli needs to improve on his passing accuracy. Another could be the Cardinals (I know, what?) but in the NFC, anything is possible and with them having Edge, Boldin and Fitzgerald to go with a pretty good defense, they may sneak up on them.

The first phrase of your question is silly - the NFC is most certainly not dominant over the AFC.
Come to think of it, the rest of your question is silly, too - the Seahawks are the dominant team in the NFC.

My fav team is the Rams. But I don't think they'll be making much noise in the NFC for at least a few years. My pick for the best NFC team this year would have to be the Giants.

The AFC is the dominant conference right now, but the best amongst the NFC is an AFC refugee, the Seahawks.

Seatle Seahawks. They ran over everyone in the NFC last year. I don't see a reason for it to be any different this year. Unless they just implode.
The AFC is the stronger conference by far.

Giants all the way baby. The Panthers will be our biggest problem but I'm excited about this season. Eli should come into form this season. Buress is getting more comfortable, Shockey will be more involved with the Offense. Most importantly, last year we lost every single linebacker. That won't happen this year. Look for the Giants to go far.
