I'd like to live off of the land, similar to the American Indians. I intend to travel as necessary sustain myself and my family (wife and two children). I'd like to hunt animals, make our clothing and shelter out of things around us and eat only what we kill and gather. Is this possible anywhere in the United States?

You may could out west but you have to ask the local communtiy center they may think you crazy living in a country full of everything and the US government own almost all the good land this will be hard
