Yuck, don't move to Midland. It's boring, there are hicks, and it's in the middle of nowhere. Amarillo is not much better.

Amarillo is like any other town. Its not overly "cowboy"

I would consider Midland over Amarillo though. Amarillo is a bit out of the way and nothing around it.

Midland is a very nice town (lived there)

lol i would not say either place is an ideal place to live, but i love texas!! i really do.
i have been to amarillo more than i have midland.
amarillo had a population of 180,791 in 2004, and midland had a population of 94,996 in 2000. so small towns.
not all of it is cowboy as you say, but you will see alot of them, which is fine by me ; )
anyway...why there? are you from texas anyway?
p.s. lol presidents mother in law is from odessa i think...not that matters just a tidbit...

i like Dallas (I stay there now) because of the fact it has purely a touch of each little thing in it... Houston is undesirable... do no longer stay there in any respect... i could fairly propose sorting out San Marcos that's approximately 40 5 min. south of Austin and bout the comparable North of San Antonio... it has super places to swim and tube with the guadalupe river and the comal interior sight and Schiltterbahn and 6 Flags Fiesta international or some thing like is that no longer too a techniques away... The clubbing scene down 6th street in Austin is between the final interior the rustic... i could desire to circulate on, yet i don't understand what you're searching for for... Texas is a place for each man or woman :)

I love Amarillo! It's not too big and not too small. We have the Palo Duro Canyon (smaller version of the Grnad Canyon) and it is BEAUTIFUL. I was born and raised here. I will raise my daughter here too. Midland is alright but I love it here in Amarillo. Send me a message if you want to know more.
