Reboot computer, check if it still won't work.

Check the task manager for running programs (use yahoo to get a description of the programs loaded and what the belong to). Start killing the programs until the player works again. disable the task you killed last and see if that helps it.

check in MSCONFIG what is loaded (start-run-msconfig-startup) and disable anything not needed (use yahoo to get a description of the programs loaded and what the belong to) reboot and see if it works. If not restore everything and do the following:

If the above is too hard or won't work, uninstall the games recently installed. Some have payloads that install additional programs see if you can remove those too.

If the above does not work, restore your system from a previous restore point (pray you have a recent point) use "Undo changes to your computer with System Restore" from Start-Help and Support "

Be careful and good luck

If nothing above works get help, or re-install the operating system.

Your DVD R drivers seem to have gone corrupt.

Uninstall and reinstall them.

This should solve the problem.
