Infection is the first and formost thing that you have to worry about you artist will explain all of that to you... I have never heard of any one getting skin cancer from it... Make sure you go some place clean and that you have heard about... In chicago I only go to tattoo factory... (in your area... if you see some one with a healthy looking tat ask them where they got it done...normally it will be a good clean place if it looks healthy, but go and check it out and make sure it is above standards)

If you are worried about regretting it after... (1) get something very personal... (would tend to stay away from lovers names...) (2) get it in some place that you can't see it all the time...

Don't let the people in here scare you if you truly want a tat just take precautions that will keep you healthy and from feeling that you tat is no longer what you want... I have 7 that look like 4 and I love them all and would never want to get rid of them... (even when I'm 70)

If you go to a licensed Tattoo artist, Contacting any diseases would be next to Nada. The only think that would be a possibility is getting a infection while the tattoo is healing, but if you follow instructions then even that is remote. I have a few myself and plan on getting some more and I have no regrets and how they may look when I'm older is my concern not anyone Else's.

So don't let anyone else influence your decision. It's your body have fun with it.

You can get an infection but it's rare. You can NOT get skin cancer. If the place is reputable and uses new needles and ink every time you don't have to worry so much about stds and stuff. Your artist will give you care instructions when he's done.

I have several tats and I use a very basic frangrance free lotion on my new tats for about a week to keep them from drying out.

I suggest you look long and hard before you get one and make sure that what you pick is something that you really want on your body for the rest of your life.

i'm so sorry that you misplaced your husband. I understand you do not opt to attend the three months to get the tattoo. regrettably i imagine that is a poor theory to get a tattoo once you're pregnant. once you get a tattoo there is continuously a probability you receives an infection. an infection may reason subject matters with being pregnant. it ought to even result interior the demise of you infant. Now i comprehend you do not opt to attend, yet do you actually opt to lose the child? certain that is plausible that no longer some thing will bypass incorrect. are you able to truly probability it although. that is "his" very last infant.

Hepatitis, HIV.
When I got mine I watched the artist and he broke aseptic technique repeatedly. I made him start over several times. He Kept contaminating the needle.
I worked in the O.R. at the time so I wasn't taking any chances.
I recommend that anyone getting a tattoo take a nurse or health care worker with you.

I dont see any dangers in getting tattoo's. Personally I love them. Just make sure whereever you go to get it done they open a new clean needle in front of you. Yeah they hurt but it depends on your intensity for pain. They aren't that bad. THe best thing to put on yourr tattoo to prevent scarring or scabbing is hemmroid cream. Nasty I know but all of mine turned out perfect.

Well if it doesn't heal properly it will get infected. Then you will have to pay for a doctor to help. Also if you change your mind getting it removed is very painful and expensive. And don't let it get in the sun too much or it will fade. It won't disappear, just look unattractive.
