I recommend Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Wolf's Rein, Chobits, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing, Evangelion, Venture Brothers, Naruto and others I just don't wanna mention. I love all kinds of anime, especially the new games that come out.

Full Metal Alchemist because it has a very rich and detailed story
and has great action and drama, I literally cry at the last episode

Naruto cause it's funny and full of ninja actions
Fruits Basket cause it teaches us good values in life
Full Metal Alchemist cause it gave me a new look in life and helped me understand how equivalent exchange works
Cowboy Bebop it may be humourous BUT it's really sentimental and you'll learn a lot from it
Tsukihime cause I love vampires
