"Muscles" is wrong...

You DON'T have to register to vote every year in order to keep your name on the voter rolls(it actually depends on what state you live in, though)...

Trust me...here in California, the only way you can register nowadays is when you get your CA driver's license...

Only if you fail to vote in ANY election(municipal, Presidential, or otherwise) just once, or commit ANY felony crime in CA do you get permanently kicked off the voter rolls...

You will have to register every year so that you recieve voting information and to update your address. You should recieve a little postcard thing in the mail once a year asking if this is your current address and letting you know where your voting location is or if you would like to file an abscensity ballet

Good for you! You are registered and should remain on your local precinct's rolls until they find that you have died or left the area. Some unscrupulous people have cheated the system by voting in two or more locations, or have fraudulently cast extra votes by using a dead person's registration. They should be fined and jailed. I think it amounts to treason.

Now that you are registered, please carefully educate yourself on the issues and candidates before you vote.

As long as you don't change residences, you shouldn't have to re-register. It also depends upon where you live. You should check with your local board of elections just to be sure.

It is a one time deal unless you move to another county/state, then you have to register within that county/state. =)
