they have butterfingers, that's how they make the sweet, they cut the fingers off the butterflies. And that is why you don't find any butterflies with fingers in nature anymore, those greedy capitalists spoiled it all for us. Though butterfly still have tarsi (which would be the closest equivalent to our fingers)

No, they don't. They do however have antennae. They have taste sensors on their feet, and by standing on a leaf, they can taste it to see if their caterpillars can eat it. Most adult butterflies can't bite or chew. They eat mainly liquids like nectar, sap, juices from fruits, and sometimes even fluids from carcasses. They have a long, tube like tongue called a proboscis, which works like a straw to suck up liquid. When they're not using it, it stays coiled up like a garden hose. Just an interesting little fact!!

well i don't believe they have fingers but i do know that they have feet....read on......

Q: Why do butterflies taste with their feet?
A: When you think about it, it's pretty handy. When a butterfly lands on a plant, it can instantly "taste" whether it is the kind of plant it is looking for! Aren't you glad YOU don't taste with your feet? I would get pretty tired of the taste of socks.

that is all i could find on butterflies

hope it helps....good luck

Butterflies do not have fingers They do have strange padlike structures (arolium) along with claws at the end of their legs attached to their tarsi (bottom part of their legs). The tarsi have several segments.
