Just wanting to know if I can and how to go about changing my profile name that shows up on emails. I originally used a nickname and I want to change it

yahoo has recently added a new feature which lets you choose another yahoo email address which would be tied with your original account so even if someone sends you email to new email id for ex xyz@yahoo.com , you would still be able to recieve it and view it on your original email address for example sake abc@yahoo.com.
You can choose second yahoo email address by going into options.
Mail address click on add and you would be able to choose another yahoo email address.

You cannot change the you email address (you can only create new one)
But if you want to change the name that shows up when you send email go to Mail, click on down arrow to the right and click on Options and click on General preferances and just change "From name"

This might be outdated but I had a similar problem and I read that you will have to delete your account with Yahoo! and sign up again.

click edit profile and change it there or create new username and pass word...u can also ues the a.k.a. in yahoo profiles as secondary username and password

It isn't going to happen. You'll just have to create the new name on a new account.
