Read question before answering ~ re:israeli soldiers in lebanon?

I heard that the israeli soldiers kinapped were inside lebanons borders when taken. I posed this question in a few ways and all I got was people calling me a jew hater. No one seems to understand that this is a QUESTION. let me re pose once again ~ does anyone know or can site a credible news source adressing why those soldiers were inside the border and IF that is true? GeeeeeZ people!!!! if you dont have a real answer to this, please pass by because Im tired of being attacked by those who cant read the damn question!

According to every news sorce I've seen, the Humvee that they were kidnapped from was found inside Israel. There is plenty of news footage and picutres showing the Humvee. In the footage, there is evidence of combat, and water where the fire in the Humvee was extinguished. All the news agencies could be wrong, or the scene could have been staged, but usually the simplest answer is the truth.

the Israeli soldiers who were kidnapped were NOT inside the Lebanon borders when this happened: they were in a Hammer vehicle patrolling the border from the ISRAELI side. The kidnapping was done by a group of Hezbollah who infiltrated the international border. The action was done without any provocation in the Israeli side, who had tried to keep the peace in the northern border for the last six years, if anything under-reacting to Hezbollah provocations over the years. The problem is that the terrorists did not expect the Israeli reaction- all they expected was the tanks to enter Lebanon in pursue of the kidnapped- and they had mines waiting for them- thus killing four soldiers that attempted to come to the rescue of their comrades.

Dude forget about these soldiers and why they were anywhere. It doesn't matter. This was just an excuse to destroy or try to destroy Hezbollah. Israeli saw an opportunity and ran with it much like we did with Iraq. At the same time why would our Administration give a Crap if Israeli is fighting with Lebanon we don't like them either. We gave them the green light to take them out isn't that obvious. Its classic US policy. Kind of like us funding Bin Ladin to take on the Russians. All these middle eastern countries and Terrorist that we "LIKE" are just pons in our chess game. We never met a dictator that we didn't like, until we didn't like him anymore. Its all smoke and mirrors and you will never know exactly why anyone does anything in this world if you believe the news. Read a history book or a book on Geopolitics and you will find out whats really going on. Try reading the Grand Chess Board. Good book on Geopolitics and it is not written by a liberal or Democrat.

I hear you. Lebanon is backed by Syria and Iraq, (Syria has supplied Lebanon with 10,000 bombs). A couple of the Hezbollah, which governs southern Lebanon, crossed the boarder and kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, (why would they do that? to provoke and start a war urged on by I believe Syria, working behind the scenes by playing one country off against the other. What does Syria have to gain? because they have always lost to Israel). Israel said enough is enough, we are being attacked on all sides by the Arabs and struck back.

This reputable online encyclopedia explains more about Hezbollah's motivation in the kidnappings and states that the soldiers were in Israel when the attacks ocurred. I have not heard anything about the Israeli soldiers being in Lebanon from any credible news sources.

if they where trully on enemy soil than the lebanon soldiers were only doing what their country asks of them, and thats defend thier land. with that being said its what they do with soldiers after their caught that isnt right.
