i have a 1986 ford ranger pu that don't run right. it spits and spuders and dies when its idles sometimes ,bot it starts right back up . i changed the ogen sencer. where do i go next.

If doing regular maintance does not work and neither does a tune up, check the timing. If you time it out and it goes off again, you might need to change out the timing chain.

clean the egr valve and / or check and clean the air idle valve if all else fails chek the speed sensor as they like to malfunction on fords of that year.

Make sure the gas filter is clean
new air filter
change spark plugs and wires

adjust the idle. maybe its idling too low therefor it cuts off.
