Why do dogs love you forever, but the moment you smack a cat into next week, it hates you for life?

I also would hate you for life if you smacked me into next week. The cat is striking out in the only way it knows how because it knows you are a brutal person and if you hit an animal chances are you hit people also. Please take the cat to the SPCA so it may recieve a loving home which it deserves, as you do. You have a mean soul.

Because dogs have owners. Cats have staff! The cat is still trying to train you & punishing you for bad behavior! Change its box at least once a day. Keep its food handy and change often! Don't try to pet it . It will reward you by letting you pet it [maybe!]

Dogs are pack animals. The Alpha is their god. That's their owner. Anything the god wants is A-ok with them. They're slaves.

Cats are loners. They neither need nor want an owner. To a cat, you are in charge of quarters, rations and weather; they're in charge of everything else. Forget your place and they are unforgiving. Cats are solipsists. They recognize no god but themselves. Either live with it or find your cat a better home with someone who doesn't mind being slave to a cat.

Because dogs are too stupid (and stinky, and drooling, and messy and and and) to realize that their owner beats them. They're so pathetically needy, they'll come back for more and more just to get attention.

Cats, however, are incredibly intelligent creatures and know when they're being mistreated. They're also vindictive (hence, the urinating, clawing, etc.)

I think you just need to train it from the beginning. I have alwasy had dogs, but I finally got a kitten, and people say she acts like a dog, but she knows right from wrong cuz I actually beat that ***! But they like to do their own thing too, more independent

my roommates cats drive me crazy... but no matter how much I toss them off the couch out out of my room they still want to cuddle! i wish I had your problem and the cats would leave me alone

because dogs are stupid. how many other animals will chase a stick, bring it back and then chase it again and again and again. Cat's know theres no point. Please stop smacking your cat.
