I just figure that since everyone seems to be making such hay over similar connects with Bush, it should be mentioned. I personally don't care. I don't think the whole family is to be blamed for the acts of one nut. It is my understanding that the family, as a whole, does not support Osama.
I just find it interesting that the "left" is trying to stir up some dust with mention of a Bush connection. Figured they should know that there are LOTS of connections out there.

Maybe, but Bush and his father have associations with him too. That's why politics is such a mess, never know who's in bed with who.

It's unfortunate that you choose to visit right-wing "liberal" bashing sites for your information. Hopefully you ended up there accidently by some strange link.

I just finished reading an excellent book on the right-wing propaganda arm. True, written by a "liberal", but backed up with facts where your stuff you are referring to won't find a fact within 65,000 miles. Go to the library, and look up Al Franken's book titled:

Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them

It is funny, and very readable. He provides valid web links, and backs up his statements with sources that make sense.

By the way, I have been putting the word liberal in quotes because that has become such a misconstrued word: like, oh, you are going to hell, you are a liberal. That isn't true. A liberal is a person who cares about other people...is that such a bad thing?

So?

The bin Laden family own and operate a global corporation annually grossing 5 billion U.S. dollars, based upon the largest construction firm in the Islamic world, with offices in London and Geneva.

American and European intelligence officials estimate that all the relatives of the family may number as much as 600, and that several members of the bin Laden family sympathize with Osama. The Saudi government has said that the family signed a statement officially disowning Osama in 1994. The Saudi government also stripped bin Laden of his citizenship, for publicly speaking out against them, after they permitted U.S. troops to be based in Saudi Arabia in preparation for the 1991 Gulf War.

Just because the last name is Bin Laden doesn't mean that they like, associate with, are funded by, and even know Osama. It also doesn't mean they are terrorists.

This comes up all the time. This same rumor came up when Gore was running for office. This is probably a way to trash Gore - over his movie and book.
