For everyone who answers this I just want to tell you the british armed forces are classed as being about 10-20% undermanned at the moment.(MoD 2005)

Yes, definitely as long as girl yobs are whipped in as well. It would give these hoodies a lesson in real toughness. I didn't enjoy ALL of mine but I would not have missed it. I learned a lot, I went to the job I wanted, but I could have done others with the training I got Mind you, I could read, write and do all mathematical forms, could the youngsters now, some can't really count their money, Even the unedicated could do that in my time!

No because it would devalue the Armed services with have at the moment. Make the Army, Navy etc more attractive to individuals and take away some of the human rights ****. Make it a place for tough professional people. It shouldn't be used to correct the States wrongs in regard to the education system.

Bring back national service in the uk but only if the person hasnt got any other form of employment or college for 2 years after they have left school

I would have been happy to go in the millatary I woud have been proud to fight for my country.

There is a show i the UK called bad lads army the youths that are on it say there 'fake nation service' changed there life

I think National Service should be brought back to the U.K. It would help the unemployment figures and give the young men a trade, a sense of value and a nice haircut.

Yes. Mandatory two years of service. That's patriotic. Then let's see the reaction of those who won't let their kids join the military but want to rush into a war.

I think national service should return to the UK. I may instill a sense of discipline into the un-disciplined.

YES for the asylum seekers so when they enter this country they have to do three years then and only then they can apply for residence

yep bring it back in, in the UK. It will get rid of the dole cue and teach the younger ones a bit pride & self respect
