What should I do about the cloths?

I have been doing laundry for about 2 years to give my wife more time on her days off, should I continue to to the laundry or start letting it pile up?

No kids left at home, both work full time, wife makes 3 times more than me and I do OK.

I work nights,hubby works days.I cook dinner and do dishes .He does laundry on Sundays.We have been doing it this way for years works for us.If it works why change it?

First off, Do you work also? Second, Do ya'll have children? Because if you both work then it's very loving and sensitive for the husband to help with the household chores which is just basic maintenance. You both eat, then you can share with the dishes. You both have clothes, then you can share doing the laundry. A lot of people have 1 or 2 things that they really hate about about housework,& 1 or 2 things that they do really well and enjoy. Talk to each other and decide "honey,do you think you could do laundry on X-day and I'll do it on X-day? Or split it up another way. Neither of you should have to feel bogged down on your days off; which is supposed to be a break. However life doesn't stop. That's a part of being an adult. One things for sure, women are in to talking and love to communicate with our husbands and you can't imagine how little things make a big deal to us. As well as little thank you's exchanged between you. Another suggestion : Pray before you talk out chores and responsibilities sharing so you don't offend or get offended.

Is she still just as busy? Are you busier than you once were? Maybe you could sit down and discuss it with her and arrange a schedule on it. You know, she does it one week, you do it the next. That would even things out. However, if it starts piling up, just do it and inform her that you went ahead and took care of it. That will be the lil reminder and a nice way to do it, too.

Communication is always key, so discuss it first.

I think you should continue to help maybe take turns or something .You are a good man .My husband doesn't do anything to help out around the house even when I had a job.

Stop doing the laundry only if you want her to stop cooking and cleaning.
