I'll tell you how it's the USA's fault:-

When the American people stop their government from sending a total of $90 Billion of their taxes to Israel to support their barbaric acts then the fighting will stop.

Only when Israels years of aggresion are expose, and when the American people stop their governments from vetoing any chance of a peaceful settlement, then maybe there will be an agreement.

yes sir! i do! and have some stong words for it.
i am completely against the action taken by isreal! i understand that , they want the soldiers back, but what s the point in targetting civilians? what will death of innocent women, children cause? its only gonna aggrevate the violence and promote hizzbolla for more attacks. if the isreal wants their soldier s back, they should either attack the lebonan army, or personally target hizbolla or even go for a selective commando raid .
the act of killing civilians ! its has no moral justification! eye for an eye is no solution for this conflict!
and above all, if the middle east goes on a war, imagine the the political and economic reverberations? the americans and their allies will support isreal, the russians and chinese will come to the rescue of palestine and lebanon to counter balance. this conflict will be a new reason for the terrorists to mushrum everywhere. and north korea will supply arms to lebonan, their reason to attack USA ! and imagine the skyrocketing of price of oil!
and hey! whats the diff between innocent ppl being killed in bombay by terrorist and lebonese citizens killed by the army! bottom line- the innocent are caught in the cross fire!
thats **** man!

I care because I feel the USA, among other nations, is getting weak from both liberal internal pressure and external pressure from the UN. I see the UN as a completely impotent organization who needs to make political grandstands about anything any sovereign nation does that hurts people, even BAD people.

As if on cue, they started calling for cessation of violence between Israel and Hezbollah.

If this were any country in Europe or possibly the USA, the UN's requests would be honored. The only problem is: terrorist organizations do NOT honor UN requests, never have, and never will. So all the UN succeeds in doing is making its member states as impotent as itself.

While I'm no big fan of Israel, in this case I'm happy that they're telling the UN to go screw itself. They're setting a great example on how to conduct effective, unilateral action in self defense. They are also showing the UN's impotency by doing just what it wants, doing it professionally, and suffering no consequences from the blowhard UN.

I sympathize with the Lebanese people. I have many lebanese friends and they are good people. But the government there needs to take reponsibility and get rid of Hezbollah, or at least their ability to conduct paramilitary operations. Hopefully the Israeli attacks will get them thinking in that direction. The lebanese are tired of war, and any internal organization that provokes it should be eliminated for the good of the country.

I absolutely care what is happening in Lebanon. What is happening in the Middle East right now is probably going to affect the entire world on some level.

This could be the start of yet another World War.

The people of Lebanon are being punished because their government can't do anything about Hezzbolah (sp?) There was no reason for Hezzbolah to skirmish with Israeli soldiers, killing 8 and kidnapping 2. They thought it would be a good idea to poke an already enraged dragon. Now, due to, what I see as criminal actions, the entire country of Lebanon is paying.

Other countries really need to step up and stop the craziness in that region. There are organizations running around with complete impunity, and all they do is find another way to incite violence. They look for excuses to incite violence. There will be no peace until you can get rid of those groups.

I can't stand civilians being killed, but I also can't stand the fact those civilians are put in the cross-fire by groups claiming to have their best interest in mind. Terrorist and criminal actions do not help their people, it just destroys them and puts them in a bad light with the rest of the world.

Extremists and Radicals need to be stopped. ALL OF THEM. I think this is the point the world with pick sides. I don't think groups like Hezzbolah are going to be on the winning side of this. And by their own creation (Hezzbolah, and the government of Lebanon), neither will the people of Lebanon.

Signing Bombs: I agree, they shouldn't have kids signing bombs. You would be blind to say Lebanon and Palestine doesn't teach their children hate of Israel from an early age.

Why do some people feel it is justified to go into a market and suicide bomb a group of people just eating lunch, but not justified to counter by trying to get rid of those people willing to do that type of action?

Terrorist groups claim to fight with what they have, and that is what Israel is doing.

Someone needs to stop terrorist organizations. The governments in that region need to stop promoting hate and start to find a way to live with the rest of the world in peace. YES, that means your immediate neighbors, whether you like them or not.

Does it matter at all the Hezbollah killed Israeli civilians?
What does it matter to me, I have nothing to do with the middle east nor can I do anything about it.
Its nice that you showed dead bodies of children, what about the dead bodies of the terrorists that started all this or those attacked Israel?
What about the dead bodies of the Israeli children or soldiers fighting to secure their homeland?
Did you know that this fighting has been going on since the beganing of time and will not stop?
Im sure George Bush is loving every minute of it.
Just so you know, the American people send comments to Congress about all the stupid spending but Congress and the President dont listen to us.
So then what?

Of course the US has similar photos of the death and destruction wrought by the terrorists on the New York World Trade Center towers when they flew the commercial jet liners into buildings occupied by innocent civilians. And of course, the London, England and Bombay, India train bombings are pretty shocking. Terrorists target innocent civilians, not legitimate military targets. That is cowardice in my opinion.

Absolutely it matters.

Keep in mind that the 9/11 attacks may never have occurred had the U.S. not been so unequivocal in its support of Israel & everything it does. Until we have a more balanced diplomacy in that region, what happens in Israel & surrounding countries will eventually affect Americans. Everything they do will eventually be blamed, in part or in whole, on the U.S. by many countries in the world (some of which actually have WMDs, unlike Iraq.)

It seems to me you have a political agenda or you would be asking "Does it matter that Hezbollah and Israel are killing innocent civillians, "but alas you did not so your question is what is referred to as loaded

With your "question" about Israel and your one-sided view, if you're the best the terrorist have to offer with no sense of fairness, these conflicts will never end, you aren't going to bully the U.S. just reign down more grief for innocents

First let me say that my knowledge of the entire situation is dismal and I am not taking sides herein.

What I do fear for is that fact that when you throw a stone n the water, eventually the ripple will reach far and wide.

So what is happening in Lebanon is very much affecting us here. 7 boats today are making their way to Cyprus. It appears it may take as long as 2 weeks to evacuate the 25,000 Canadians from Lebanon.

As a world society we have to feel for anything that goes on anywhere. I may not be able to do much about it, but I do care.

It bothers me greatly that you are such a coward that you have to post photos of innocent deaths to promote your own agenda.

You fail to admit that Hezbollah also has committed atrocities against innocents as well in this pointless war. And that if they had sat down at the bargaining table with a real agenda for peace like Israel did, instead of firing missles, then we would not have this mess or the death of innocents.

YOU ARE SICK, SICK, SICK.

Yes I do care. If the terrorist group Hezbollah would not hide behind the skirts of women and the bodies of children, then maybe the deaths of innocent people wouldn't be something for you to use in favor of the terrorists.

Maybe instead of attacking those who were attacked, try attacking people who fight like cowards.
