I know that this is probably dumb, but im just trying to learn as much as I can... when you go to a due date predictor online it asks 3 different questions, last day of menstrual period, due date, or date of conception, thats my question "date of conception", thats the same difference as "the day you got pregnant/had sex right", because I know when you finally are pregnant, two weeks are added on because you actually start conception 2 wks before, I just didnt know if that worked with the whole "date of conception". Im sorry if its a dumb question, as I know ppl can be very harsh on here, but I just didnt know and thought you could shed some light for me... Thanks!!!

to predict your due date ....... take the first day of your period + seven days - three months = due date

First day of period July 1 + 7 days = July 8 - three months = Due date of April 8

Just ignore the date of conception. Really theres no sure way to know one what day that took place. sperm can hang out in a womans body for a cuople of days and that gives the possibility of conception happening after the fact. Or you might have ovulated on a day different than what you expected... its just not worth it to try to figure it out.

Your doctor will always go by the first day of your last period, because thats the surest date they can get... and if you dont have that date (like i didnt) they will usually do an ultrasound to measure the baby and see just how far along you are.

some women pee on ovulation strips every day and have sex durring the ovulation window time, or they take their temps every morning to keep track of when ovulation might occure, or they might have only had sex once that cycle and can guess pretty accurately their conception date. But generally its impossible to know.

To much is made of "due" dates. This is actually the number of days from conception and you have a much LESS than 50/50 chance that your baby will be born on it's so-called due date. It's just an estimate. You can get just as close by counting back three months from the date of your 1st missed period.

If you are charting your menstrual cycles this is better understood, but the "date of conception" is the actual day that a program or something makes an assumption as to when the sperm and egg met and started forming. Not usually when you had intercourse. After you have intercourse it takes 7-14 days for the egg to meet the sperm. I may be incorrect on the numbers, that would be something to check out, but that is the general idea. Good Luck!

By the way, a good website for charting and learning about pregnancy is www.fertilityfriend.com

Date of conception is the day you had sex. But if you know the first day of your last period, I think that is more accurate.

The "date of conception", from what I have gotten, is not necessarily the day that you had sex, but the day that the eggs were dropped and met the sperm. Hope this helps!

I genuinely have one for you. A blonde is interpreting the newspaper, the headline says "12 brazillian electorate killed". She says "oh my god" seems to the guy beside her and asks "what proportion are in a brazillian back?"
