there is no real tie between caffeine and birth defects. i'm not too sure however if it does indeed cross the placenta or not, so when you're riding a caffeine kick your little bambino might be doing the same, so always err on the side of caution when putting anything that alters your state of being into your body when you're preggo... may that be caffeine, high sugar intake, or aspartame

My wife is pregnant and she's also a doctor so I'll relay her advice... a cup of caffeinated tea or soda is "okay" to have although you should definitely stay away from caffeinated coffee.

When I was pregnant, my doctor told me to limit my caffeine intake to one cup of coffee or one canned drink a day. So, I had my a.m. caffeine jolt and water or juice or milk the rest of the day. I have 3 kids and they all came out OK.

Caffeine is not a good idea when u r pregnant. When the baby is born he/she will have trouble sleeping.

I didn't drink any for respect for my unborn fetus. You can drink caffeine after you give birth. Try getting to bed a little earlier so your not as tires in the morning.

i would not have caffeine i drink mainly juice and water but i well sneak in and glass sweet tea once in and while but not much ween Ur pregnant caffeine can cause several urinary track infects
