I don't think it's illegal but I agree with you it is inappropriate. Talk to your husband and tell him how you feel and maybe she can sleep in their room, on the sofa, or invest in another bed. If you feel that strongly maybe you can buy the bed for her to have at his place. I would.

I agree with you it is inappropriate. They can share the same room but not the same bed. I had a similar problem when my daughter went to her dads, his wife had a daughter and they had a together a set of twin boys all four kids stayed in the same room. I called child protective services and they informed me that there is nothing wrong with them being in the same room but they must individually have their own sleeping place.

I think very inapprpriate becasue why I understand if it brother and sister that fine no a plm but if someone's kids and I make sure they go different room. I don't care if they are kid. don't matter.. the father should respect that and he knows better. If was me and I will make sure they have 2 differnt bed so I feel comforable if not then he has no respect for his daughter or made her feel safe.

i think sharing a bed and a room are two different things. it may be that your ex can't afford a three bedroom. your daughter could sleep on a couch until they could purchase a bunk bed or daybed. i think having your own space while sleeping is key to good sleep.
kids love bunk beds, push for that (help pay for it if you really care about the issue).
have the girlfriends son over for a day and see how they interact together. this will be the most telling about the issue.

It may be. The best way to find out would be to call social services and ask their policy. From my understanding children of opposite sex are to have their own room after they are a few years old, so 5 and 6 are a little to old to be in the same room.

If they grew up together as brother and sister I don't think it is wrong, but since you don't know what the little boy has been exposed to you don't want him to "play doctor" with your daughter. My son is 6 and you'd be surprised at the stuff he tells me his friends talk about. But siblings I think is okay. I slept in my brother's room until he turned 12, separate beds of course.

it is only illegal for opposite sex foster children to share the same room. if you don't like it at their house say something or bring it up next time you are in court. they are only 5 and 6. i wouldn't make the children aware of this problem you have because you are going to give them insecurities they don't need with everything else going on in their life. keep it between the grown ups! good luck!

It is wrong. You don't know if that little boy is curious or what and might do something to your daughter. I would refuse to let her go over there until the matter is solved. At least they need to get a seperate bed for her.

Very Wrong !
You're already instilling your daughter with your twisted morals.
What are you expecting them to do ?
Up until about 8 years, kids enjoy having someone to talk to all night instead of sleeping !
When your daughter starts to complain about having to share - then is the time to give her a room of her own.

It is not illegal. It is perfectly fine. they are only 5 years old. And little children like that have girls and boys over for sleepovers all the time. Dont be worried.

you may feel as though it is inappropriate but i am not sure i agree little kids come equipped with a certain freedom to not have to worry about like sleeping in the same bed as others imagine you had two little kids but only one bed would you let one sleep in it and the other in the floor and its most likely the fact that they play all day and fall asleep in the same spot i think that if it is an issue for you then you need to adress it but understand it is not going to be an issue for most people
