Interview them carefully and set test for them, if they have the knowledge and could do the job. Why not. Sometimes is not a matter of age, is the patient and love for the job. I once have a 17yrs maid inexperence who can look after my two sons better then a 32 yrs experience.

yeah i would hire a 19 yr old girl as a babysitter, she is in the right age to being responsable of a baby, but u gotta choose well, u gotta choose the right girl...

Both could be qualified for the position, my daughter was sitting at the age of 16 for a neighbor. And I started working in a grocery store at 16 myself, of course that was a while ago...

19 yr old babysitter - I wouldnt bcos she might be too busy calling her bf. I dont want to take any chances when it comes to my baby!
