My little cousin (shes 9) is comming to visit for 3 weeks! I havent seen her in so long, from what i remember she could be kinda rude and bratty. BUT im going to try and be nice and show her a good time.
I just dont know what to do with her? Take her places? What do i talk about with her? Gosh im so out of touch with kids her age, i dont know what shes too young for and too old for???

I would take her to places that have other kids her age there....remember fun is what you make it, and you don't have to constantly entertain her, she can make her own fun too.

Keeping busy with kids is always a good idea. The first thing to consider is what things do you have around your area that aren't normally available where she lives. It might be the beach, an amusement park, an aquarium, or a museum. Have a couple of unique things to do picked out and then while you two are doing them ask her questions and find out what else she likes and then add those things to your list of to do things.

You didn't say your own age, and that might have some bearing on what to do. Take your cue from her - are you totally responsible for amusing her?

take her to the mall, movies, putt-putt, or swimming. it's hot out take her to a water park or a pool. if you know other people with kids that age see if they can be friends while she's with you. it will be fine trust me!

Be yourself! Ask her what interests she have and run with it
