Your Dr. will order you an ultrasound around 18-22 weeks, this will tell you what you are having, sometimes, the baby isn't positioned right, so it's not a guarentee that you will find out. I don't know if it's the same where you live, but I am pretty sure that you can't walk in and just have an ultrasound. So wait a couple of more weeks. The time will come soon enough.

They say that the best time to tell is from 16-20 weeks of pregnancy. This being so, most OBs will wait until closer to your 20 week visit to do the ultrasound to get the best results. At that time, they can always tell what the sex is, it's just a matter of whether or not your baby wants to show off his/her gender.

Wait until you're 20+ weeks pregnant, that's the point where they can usually determine what gender the baby will be. I had my sonogram done at 22 weeks and my daughter just screamed "I'm a girl!"... Keep in mind though, sometimes they do make mistakes! Both my nieces were supposed to be nephews!

btw.. I think she means she's 14 weeks pregnant...

Normally you will get the ultrasound that tells you the baby's gender at around 20 wks. So just relax you will find out soon.

umm...guess? You have to wait and even then when they do the ultrasound you may not be able to see the identifying parts depending on how the baby is positioned. So try not to set yourself up for disappointment.

Yes you need to ait atleast two more weeks becuase you don't want to have too many ultra sounds and you are too early to get clear results. I am having to wait too so I know how hard it can be! I'm 17 weeks and have two more to go!! I will count the next two weeks with you :)

I was 16 weeks, and had a really hgih tech US, and it was VERY obvious that it's a girl. With a lower tech machine, and a not so skilled nurse running it... who knows? Might want to wait a few more weeks though, it gets easier as time passes.
