Does this thing really work? I admit I love the image of 6 maids in my shower scrubbing when I'm not there. But is it worth the initial $20 cost for the contraption, and the repeated cost for the refill liquids?

Well...it does but that still doesn't preclude you from scrubbing down the shower every so often. I think I've found it just slows the build up of soap and such. But it doesn't end cleaning completely. Get it though and it'll save you some time with the constant scrubbing.

I'm impressed. The only thing I wish it did is while spraying around the tub in a 360° circle, I wish the nozzle went up & down. Instead it just sprays the same area and the cleaner seeps down the tub walls.

But it has kept the shower walls sparkling. The tub doesn't stay as clean, but still stays cleaner than not using the liquid at all. I'm not on my hands and knees scrubbing as often and to me, that's worth the extra dollars!

If you have a Sam's Club or Costco or something of that nature, buy the kit there. You'll save a lot of money! We got the cleaning contraption, and four refills bottle for $20.

Anywhere else, you usually get just the cleaning machine and maybe one refill bottle for $20-25.

Andy Wise tested it, a local news reporter on his "Does It Work Thursady". Before testing he had mixed reviews. Some people swore by it and some wanted a refund. From his test, he found that if your shower is not sparkling clean before you use it, you have wasted your money. If works rather well if you clean thoroughly first yourself and then it will help in between times. After a couple of weeks of using the cleaner, they still needed a good scrubbing.
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the highest) let's give it a 6.

I do not personally have one but a friend of mine got it and it will only clean from where it is located and down to the floor. The contraption hangs from the shower pipe that sticks out of the wall and it sprays a solution onto the walls and it trickles down to the floor...the spray is not adjustable and he told me its a waste of time and money.

Hope that helps

I wouldn't use it, I would think there would be some kind of build up after awhile.

I was thinking of buying this, but I read so many bad reviews on epinions (http://www.epinions.com/Scrubbing_Bubbles_Automatic_Shower_Cleaner/display_~reviews) that I decided it wasn't going to work very well. Try this http://www.epinions.com/Method_Daily_Shower_Cleaner/display_~reviews or this http://www.epinions.com/Lysol_Mildew_Remover_with_Bleach/display_~reviews.
