I've seen plenty. For some reason, when I travel, I always see really bad car wrecks. I was also planning to be a medical examiner, so the Histologist gave me a tour of the morgue at the VA hospital where I was volunteering. Trust me, it's not at all like CSI.

I have at funerals but once, as a home health aide, I found one of my patients had died the night before. His eyes were open and had a look of dull gray, you could tell there was no life there. It was creepy to say the least, and I was in a bit of a panic, crying and not able to turn him over to try any sort of resuscitation. It's a powerless feeling. I had never met the man before, but yet I felt I should respect his body and do what I can.

I used to work in a homeless mens hostel and quite often especially during winter some of the old guys wouldn't wake up in the morning. Its really sad when there is no loved ones to mourn them.
