No...one star is better than no stars.

Just because you didn't get all five stars doesn't mean that you answer is less than valid. Often times, most people will only give you all five stars if they agree with everything you've said.

Most of the time, though, when you write something that is descriptive enough to get best answer in the first place, not everyone is going to agree with EVERYTHING you write.

I wouldn't be disappointed at all. I would be happy that I got the best answer. Who cares about the stars?

Not as let down as I feel knowing I can't get a uterus with the operation I've been hoping for. Even if it's an insulting 10 points, it's still ten points and I'm all about the points. Whether or not they're worth anything- which at this point is really only the addiction.

I feel neglected. =(

=)

Frankly, if any answer of mine gets picked as best my eyes water, head tingles and I get so dizzy from shock that everything else gets shut out. But now that you have brought this stars matter to my attention I'm gonna think about it and get in touch with my inner Answerer. You know, I'm feeling the need to be ridiculously offended today!

Not at all, I am at peace with the idea that the stars are about as valuable as the points are. With 5 stars, 10 points and .39cents I can mail a one page letter just about anywhere in the continental US.

No, I only feel let down when my answers aren't picked as best. Heck, we all know that I give the superior answers. LOL Okay, realistically speaking, I know that all of my answers aren't going to be best answers, and all of my best answers aren't going to get all 5 stars. So I'm okay with it. :)

no not at all. it was still the best answer they got. if i had sex with a beautiful lady and she said i was just average i would still feel ok. because i got the chance to do my best and really did do my best. plus i would never see her again anyway so i wouldnt really care. if youre answer got picked as best and they only gave you one star that still means you did better than anyone else. just think 10 more points for me. and i hope you get many more.

I am still in therapy. Fortunately, my job requires that I wear long sleeves so my wrists aren't exposed. I have tried to rationalize and live with the rejection, but sometimes I am just overwhelmed when I get three stars when I thought I deserved four. Why is life so unfair?

No, I'm already feeling smug that they chose my answer I never look to see how many stars. But now you've spoiled it for me. I bet I'll start counting the stars and feeling let down that I did not get all five.

Thanks so much party pooper!!!

Not really; I don't pay attention to that little detail. Besides, just because your answer is the best of those who responded, it doesn't necessarily mean that you answered the question fully -- just better than anybody else who bothered to tap out an answer. I've even gotten one with only one star but best answer -- he said that I gave a lot of good detail and references, but my answer wasn't good enough. *shrug* Never answered my request for clarification of what he wanted, either, so I guess he gave up and went to look the answer up himself.
