...and I didn't discover it until the spotty, sticky mess had congealed on the fabric seats, vinyl trim, and gauzy headliner of the interior. I was able to remove it from off of the inside windows and the instrument panel, but trying to blot it off of the headliner and other porous surfaces has been an exercise in futility. Any suggestions?

take it to a detail place. they should be able to do it for under $50

Water first. Carpet Cleaner next. All by hand.
