He puts down everything i do and even talks about me to other family members

I been there. My cousins a while ago did this 2 me criticised everything i said or did and told lies about me . I walked out of there lives and have not looked back since i can't be bothered with petty jealousy because that what it is he is jealous of you for something.Just ignore it and forget it they ain't worth your time or energy some people are just nasty.You can't choose family

Frequently, when someone puts so much time and effort into making someone else look bad, it's because they are trying to make themselves look better. If you pay attention you'll probably see that he also puts other people besides you down and talks about other family members besides you.
The truly sad thing is the probably thinks this makes him look better to others when, in fact, it makes him look small, pitiful and mean.

I have family that does the same thing to me. Its a personal issue with the people saying things, they just have issues. Your best bet it to raimin blamless and ingore it, eventually the rest of your family will figure out that you're not misbhaving, and you're being truthful.
It took me 20 years for my family to finally believe me that my aunt uncle and cousins were telling my family all these horrific lies about me. Eventually your uncle will screw up and people will see him for what he really is.
And then you can revel in that moment :)

ummm... you definitely need to go into a little more detail.. like has anything happened between the two of you... etc etc. I mean, it is possibly he's just a straight up asshole, but there's gotta be something

Wow he sounds like a loser, I would tell your parents about him, next time he sayss something I would look around and then say very sarcastically "Wow, I didn't know you were my REAL dad...Thanks"
